What to know
Mumbai is the head office of the Indian pharmaceutical industry. Cipla, Lupin, Glenmark, Wockhardt, Piramal, Ipca, Alkem and the Indian arms of Abbott, Pfizer, GSK and Sanofi are all run from this city, alongside the chemicals, paints and adhesives companies that grew out of the same industrial belt.
