SRTEPC, set up in 1954 and headquartered at Resham Bhavan, Veer Nariman Road, Churchgate, is the export promotion council for man-made fibre textiles — polyester, viscose, nylon fabrics and yarns — representing the exporters of Surat and Mumbai.
It is one of several textile export councils headquartered in the city.
