Gifting is a real trade in Mumbai, not an afterthought. Diwali alone moves an enormous volume of hampers through the city’s offices, and the shops plan their year around it.
Three sources matter: the mithai houses, some over a century old; the modern patisseries and chocolatiers; and the gourmet stores, which assemble imported hampers to order. Book Diwali hampers two to three weeks ahead — the good counters close their books early.

A note on this page. Restaurants and shops open, move and close far more often than factories and markets do. Everything here is a snapshot of Mumbai as of 2026, offered as a starting point rather than a live listing. Check the address and the hours before you travel.
