Bhendi Bazaar is the Dawoodi Bohra district between Mohammed Ali Road and Chor Bazaar: the Raudat Tahera mausoleum, the Saifee mosque, the attar and hardware shops, and the food — Bohri Mohalla, Minara Masjid lane, and the Ramzan night market that is the most famous food street in the city for one month a year.
The Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust is rebuilding the entire district, block by block, in the largest cluster redevelopment Mumbai has attempted; the old chawls are coming down and towers are going up around the mosque.
