Grant Road is the station and the district around it, between Tardeo and Girgaon: Lamington Road, the computer and electronics market; the lanes down to Chor Bazaar and Null Bazaar; the old theatre and cinema district of Falkland Road and Play House; and the mixed residential streets of Nana Chowk and Gamdevi, where Gandhi lived at Mani Bhavan.
It is a working district rather than a visitor one, but Chor Bazaar and Lamington Road are two of the best-known markets in the city and both are reached from this station.
