Santacruz holds the domestic airport (Terminal 1, the old Santacruz airport) on its eastern side, the University of Mumbai’s Kalina campus, the Vakola and Kalina neighbourhoods, and on the western side the old East Indian village around the Sacred Heart church, the station market and the Juhu edge. It is between Khar and Vile Parle on the Western Line.
Santacruz West’s station road market is one of the suburbs’ fabric and bridal-wear streets.
