Tardeo is the strip along Tardeo Road between the Haji Ali junction and Grant Road: a mixed stretch of residential buildings, the Bhatia Hospital, the AC Market building, and the restaurants — Sardar Pav Bhaji, Swati Snacks — that people cross the city for. Imperial Towers, for a time the tallest residential buildings in India, stand here.
It is one of the places where South Mumbai’s Gujarati and Marathi middle class lives rather than shops.
