About Bandra Fort
Castella de Aguada, the Portuguese watchpoint over the Mahim bay. The amphitheatre and the sea wall are public.
Castella de Aguada, built by the Portuguese in 1640 as a watchpoint over the Mahim bay and the approach to the harbour. Partly dismantled by the British in the early 1700s to deny it to the Marathas.
What survives sits at Land’s End and has been restored with an open amphitheatre and sea walk. It is free and public, and the view takes in the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Busy at sunset.
