Ground reclaimed from the sea on the western edge of Bandra, carrying the hospital, the Rang Sharda complex, the MMRDA grounds and the approach to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
The Sea Link, opened in 2009, cut the Bandra-to-Worli journey from about forty-five minutes to under ten, and changed how the western suburbs connect to the island city.
