About Sanjay Gandhi National Park
A national park of roughly a hundred square kilometres inside the city limits — one of the few in the world — with leopards, the Kanheri Caves cut between the first century BCE and the tenth century CE, and the Tulsi and Vihar lakes that supply part of Mumbai’s water.
The main gate is at Borivali East. Entry is ticketed; the Kanheri road is the usual walk.
