Electrical and Hardware at Chor Bazaar

Mutton Street, off Grant Road, trading since the 1850s. Antiques, vintage, gramophones, cameras, Bollywood posters, brass and furniture, in dealers’ shops rather than stalls. Friday is the flea-market day.

The second-hand side: auto parts, old fittings, salvaged hardware and reconditioned electricals in the lanes off Mutton Street. Not the place for new wiring — that is Lohar Chawl — but the place for a part nobody makes any more.

A note on these names. The houses above were found in published guides, trade-body records or the firms’ own sites (locality research), current as of 2026. They are a starting point, not a complete list — the market has many more. WelcomeToMumbai.in is independent, takes no commission and does not rank or endorse.
