Mumbai’s wholesale flower market, under and around the railway bridge at Dadar West. Marigold, mogra, rose, tuberose, and garlands made on the spot.
It works between roughly three and seven in the morning and is finished for the day by breakfast. There is no afternoon trade. Before Ganeshotsav, Diwali and the wedding months it runs at several times its normal volume. Going at five in the morning is the single best hour anyone spends in Dadar.
