About Five Gardens
The five garden squares at the centre of the Parsi Colony, laid out under the same 1899 scheme.
Five garden squares at the centre of the Dadar Parsi Colony, laid out under the same Improvement Trust scheme in the 1920s.
The gardens and the streets around them are the clearest surviving picture of what the 1899 plan intended: a low, green, planned suburb. Used morning and evening by walkers and by children from the colony.
