The American restaurant in Mumbai is mostly a bar with a kitchen attached. Burgers, ribs, nachos and a long beer list are the format, and the best of them are long-running places in Colaba, Worli and Bandra rather than chains.
One thing to know before you order: beef is not served in Maharashtra. The steakhouse menu here runs on lamb, chicken, pork and imported buffalo, and a restaurant that says ‘steak’ means one of those.
